For employees who need basic knowledge and practical skills in fire fighting. The training is suitable for employees who need to be able to react quickly and correctly when confronted with an incipient fire in the workplace.
A quick and appropriate response can make all the difference when a fire starts. This hands-on training teaches you how to react correctly to a workplace fire and how to use different types of basic fire extinguishing equipment. Every participant gets the opportunity to safely extinguish an incipient fire.
You will learn how fires start and develop, the different fire classes and which extinguishing equipment to use in each situation. During the practical exercises, you will extinguish solid-material and liquid fires using water, powder, foam and CO₂ extinguishers. You will also learn how to deal with a fire in an electrical distribution board and how to safely approach and extinguish a deep-fat fryer fire using a fire blanket or damp cloth.
