Are you a trained workplace first aider? This refresher course helps you refresh your knowledge and practical skills so that you can respond quickly and correctly in the event of an accident. Regular practice keeps essential first aid techniques up to date and helps you respond more confidently when an emergency occurs.
You will review the basic principles of first aid, including safety and responsibilities, the role of the first aider, the first aid action plan and how to correctly approach an accident scene. Company-specific first aid procedures, basic hygiene and the safe movement of casualties may also be covered. A major part of the course consists of practical exercises covering unconscious casualties, CPR and the use of an AED. Wound care, bleeding control and different bandaging techniques can also be refreshed. The content can be tailored to the main risks and first aid requirements within your organisation.
