WORKING AT HEIGHT
For employees appointed by their employer as the competent person for fixed scaffolding and who are responsible for inspecting and releasing scaffolding for use. After completing the course, the competent person will be able to perform the necessary inspections, assess risks and prepare instructions so that users can work safely on the fixed scaffold.
Are you responsible for inspecting and releasing fixed scaffolding for use? This 1-day training course teaches you how to professionally assess a fixed scaffold, analyse the associated risks and determine whether it can be used safely. After completing the course, you will have the necessary knowledge to act as a competent person, release fixed scaffolding for use and prepare clear safety instructions for users.
You will learn how to identify the hazards and risks associated with fixed scaffolding and translate them into an appropriate risk assessment. You will also learn how to inspect and assess a scaffold to determine whether it can safely be released for use.
