For experienced employees who take on the role of mentor, workplace coach or supervisor for workplace learning. The course is particularly suitable for employees who are responsible for training and coaching new colleagues or trainees but have not yet received specific training in coaching and communication.
Are you an experienced employee who is responsible for guiding new colleagues, trainees or other employees in the workplace? This hands-on mentor training teaches you how to transfer your knowledge and experience in a clear, motivating and responsible way. It helps you make the transition from technical expert to effective workplace mentor and coach.
You will learn how to guide, motivate and support employees throughout their workplace learning process. The course introduces different mentoring and learning styles and teaches you how to adapt your approach to the person you are coaching. You will also learn how to deal with resistance, influence behaviour and give clear and effective instructions. You will develop skills in active listening, constructive feedback, coaching and evaluation. You will learn how to monitor progress, make adjustments where necessary and personalise a training plan to suit individual employees. Theory is supported by practical examples and exercises taken directly from real workplace situations.
